Strathaven is a quaint town within South Lanarkshire, Scotland and houses West Laigh within its mist that is the most impressive of Clyde Valley cottages available. The most unique holiday cottage Scotland has offers the guest quaint, luxury accommodations within an eighteen hundred and forty-four square meter home with spectacular period architecture that is right in the centre of Scotland for easy commutes anywhere in Glasgow.

The new 3 bed room converted Barn built in 1808 is situated with in our farm and is an entire separate house.

Offering comfort and modern facilities and quality furnishings, the Barn is located in our own quiet private Farm estate with private parking for 3 vehicles and a 5 minute drive from restaurants, award winning green flag parks and bars.

Country side silence with a Glasgow city vibe in 20 minutes.

Child & pet friendly, well placed for traveling around Scotland.

Our goal is to provide you with a fully equipped, high-end, unique boutique style cottage. We have a large 50” wall hung TV in the living room and a 42″wall hung TV in the kitchen with free view. There are many spaces to be totally private inside and out.

BEDROOM
Our quality mattresses and pillows are all protected, Goose Feather and down duvets. We use high thread count quality Egyptian Cotton bed linen and Hugo Boss luxury bath sheets and towels, some toiletries, and soaps. The property has large enclosed gardens with outside garden furniture that boasts a fire pit/ice bucket and barbecue. Our gardens are manicured and maintained.

Our bedroom top drawers are scented. We have wooden & velour or ladies silk eveningwear hangers and protective clothes covers. There are salon powerful hairdryers and straighteners.

KITCHEN
Ceramic hob/built-in multi-functional halogen oven with built-in separate microwave. Dishwasher, fridge freezer, Nespresso Machine, frother, juicer, Slow Cooker, food steamer, deep fryer, bread maker, food mixer, handheld mixer. Washing machine and dryer. Whilst we are a self-catering cottage we provide complimentary bin bags, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc, just to start your self-catering holiday.

Copper cooking pots/extensive Crockery & beautiful serving dishes (especially at Christmas and new year) Cutlery & fine Glassware for 12 (min). We also have basic provisions such as a full range of teas & coffee, sugar, salt & peppers, olive oil, ketchup/spices etc., so you only really need to buy the actual food if you want to cook.

We also have a double bedroom and toilet/shower facilities downstairs. We provide a child’s high chair & infant seat riser, a travel cot/mattress/bedding, a stair gate, plug socket covers, window guards, baby bath & changing table, baby monitors, children’s tableware and a full range of baby products (just in case) we have a large selection of children’s games, puzzles, books, CD’s and a beautiful 26yr old rocking horse to keep even the youngest amused.

The neighbourhood is honestly fantastic! It is a really quiet/private conservation village area with its own attractions but is situated bang in the middle of central Scotland to travel from. Our Park & Ride train station at Merryton gives you the best access to the city centre without the HEFTY parking fees. We leave a list of restaurant numbers/bars/etc in the house manual.

We can also organise anything you need or require in advance of your stay. We also have other Holiday properties on-site, so we can cater for large groups all at the same location.
